Live Events to Demonstrate How to Eliminate Redundant Processes Across Project Planning Stages, Reduce Work Associated with Project Changes, and Access Real-Time Project Status
Tempe, AZ – November 27, 2007 – Hard Dollar Corporation, the leading provider of budget-and performance-based project management solutions announced a new webinar series (free to qualified industry professionals) to provide construction and energy organizations with best practices in improving project productivity and eliminating costly re-work across project planning and execution phases. Expert speakers will provide from-the-field experience to demonstrate how valuable project process improvements can be achieved through the connection of Primavera project schedules with costs and budgets in Hard Dollar software.
The first two events in the series include:
- “Best Practices in Cost & Schedule Integration for the Power and Energy Industry”, to be held December 5, 2007 at 1 pm ET. This live webinar will feature best practices in project planning and execution with Peter Hessler, 30-year industry veteran and author of Power Plant Construction Management: A Survival Guide and numerous technical papers on Power Plant Construction and Turnaround Planning and Execution. Mr. Hessler’s consulting firm, Construction Business Associates, provides business management support and training to help clients enhance their financial awareness and cost control of new construction and plant turnaround projects.
- “Turning Interoperability into More Productive Construction Processes at MACTEC”, to be held December 12, 2007 at 1 pm ET. Attendees will hear Hard Dollar/Primavera® integration use cases from Ivor Foster, Estimating Professional from Atlanta-based MACTEC, an Engineering News-Record “Top” Firm. MACTEC provides engineering, environmental, and construction consulting services to public and private clients worldwide. Mr. Foster has more than 40 years of estimating and project planning experience in the construction and engineering industries across the US and UK.
“Owners and contractors today consistently seek better ways to manage everything from conceptual planning to estimating, from site establishment to project execution and from claims avoidance to claims mitigation,” said energy project planning expert Peter Hessler. “However, one thing is constant across the industry: project management could be vastly simplified and projects more accurately controlled by using project cost and schedule data in tandem. I look forward to working with Hard Dollar and our industry professionals to share best practices for solving today’s challenges.”
Attendees of each webinar will learn to:
- Improve project execution by combining costs and schedules
- Access more timely earned value management, cash flow and cost/resource forecasting information
- Increase productivity by eliminating manual cost- and resource-loading processes
- Reduce project risk by automating project updates due to changes
“Hard Dollar’s goal is to help our customers improve productivity and elevate profits by simplifying processes that make projects more complex and costly than they need to be,” said Alistair Johnson-Clague, Hard Dollar CEO. “This webinar series will be a great way to facilitate the sharing of best practices so that we can learn more about the industries’ needs, and construction and energy project professionals can learn from each others’ successes.”
